Service – The action of helping someone. What does this
look like to Christians? 1 Corinthians 3:9, “For we are co-workers
in God’s service.” 1 Corinthians 12:5 tells us,
“There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord.”
The Word tells us that we are co-workers with God, that excites
me! To think that the Almighty, the Creator, is working
through us, right here at Hope Community.
God is looking for the willing and available. So, that brings
us to a question…are you willing and available to be a co-worker
with God? I have found that many people want to
serve, they just do not know where or how to serve. Well
we are here to help you! We believe that Jesus has place for
everyone to serve, and we believe that Jesus expects all followers
of him to serve. Did you know the leaders at Hope
Community are able to assist you in finding a place to use
your God-given gifts and abilities? I say let’s all get plugged
into service right here at HCC! What a joy it is when we all
work together in service to the God we worship. A great
way to show the love you have for Jesus is by serving. Romans
15:17 says, “Therefore I glory in Christ Jesus in my
service to God.” May we all bring glory to Jesus as we serve
together.
