In 2 Peter chapter one we read, “make every effort to add
to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; and to
knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance;
and to perseverance, godliness; and to godliness, mutual
affection; and to mutual affection, love. For if you possess
these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you
from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge
of our Lord Jesus Christ.”

Whenever you find a list in the Bible, I believe, they are put
in order on purpose. We know that all our actions stem
from Jesus living in us. Once you have accepted Jesus, he
expects us to continue to grow in him. As we allow Jesus to
transform us into his image we will begin to display the at-tributes
of this list. It all starts with the love of Jesus, our
faith. To that we add goodness, once you have added
goodness then you can add more knowledge. Through the
knowledge we gain about Jesus we get self-control, then
perseverance and godliness (transformation) then we have
mutual affection- we share the love Jesus has given us
and then we are truly able to love one another as Jesus
wants us to.

How are you doing on this list from 2 Peter? I am here to
help you know Jesus and move with Him. Come talk with
me and we will journey through this list together!
You are loved!
